INDEPENDENCE (2)

My brothers and sisters,

I'm sorry for being gone for soooooo long (I don't have excuses but I must say that I'm strategizing on how to manage time to deliver the words of My Father)

It's Nigeria's Independence day (two days ago) as declared by the Federal Government of my beloved country (Nigeria). 

Hmm!

INDEPENDENCE according to 'wikipedia the free encyclopedia' is a condition of a nation, country, or state in which its residents and population, or some portion thereof, exercise self-government, and usually sovereignty, over the territory. But for me, I will define it as a complete state of freedom.

Our independence remains a castle in the air if our souls find pleasure in the works of the flesh that wrestle against our expression of the redeemed life. The world calls the freedom of the expressive life of the flesh as INDEPENDENCE but we still are not freed from little lust, pilfering, backbiting, negative sabotaging, false-witnesses, lies, mocking, envy, jealousy, killing, fornication, adultery, duping, un-due influences, aiding-and-abetting of criminal acts, defrauding, drunkeness, pride, selfishness, greed, wild-partying e.t.c 

So, by the definition of wikipedia, it means we can be free as 'A PEOPLE' or 'A NATION' but remain subservient as 'A PERSON' to the flesh and remain in condemnation when SONSHIP is not manifested through CHRIST.

Therefore, INDEPENDENCE means "embracing the nature of Christ and being redeemed from the works of the flesh". 

Romans 8:1-2 (KJV version) says "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath MADE ME FREE from the law of sin and death. 

So, you can see that "if the Son sets you free, you are truly free" John 8:36 (NLT version). THAT IS TRUE INDEPENDENCE!
